*sigh* My last day of leave today. However, I have finished my Yuletide reading so now I'm down to housework, gardening and watching telly, so it's probably time to go back to work anyway!

I always complain I never have time to rewatch fave shows, but as Dragonfly is out and I'm just faffing about on my computer now, I actually have the tv on in the background. Paradox was freakin' awesome, and I'm very sad they only made the one season. I'd be very willing to show it to people. *looks hopeful*

Also, so, Primeval is back. Back on the emotional rollercoaster I go!

I've watched the first five minutes of episode 4.01 (can't watch the rest without Dragonfly).

Initial impressions! New guy I find vaguely repellent, but no doubt I'll get over that. Also, look at the way Becker is looking at him - what is with that?

Dragonfly and I are of the opinion that Lucy Brown was pregnant during these episodes, because of the 'fat' clothes and the rounder face, and quite frankly, she looks quite drawn and tired. I googled and got people on messageboards being really indignant that people might think that just because she 'looks normal and not skinny' *shrug* Meanwhile, alarms are going off!!!

( Spoilery for TEAM! dynamics, but not really so much for the plot, I mean, it's a Monster of the Week show, not a lot of surprises, right? )

Adding some new characters has really changed the feel of the show for the awesome.

Last night we watched 3.04 and 3.05 and they were fun! And not too badly written. Well, except for 5 minutes near the end of 3.05 but then they made up for it with a Lester/Connor scene that was so awesome I had to pause the action just to bounce up and down with GLEE!

In the spirit of full disclosure, Dragonfly still complains about the plot holes and occasionally OOC behaviour of the characters, but I am in a zen place about that now.

After my bitter break up with Primeval during season 2 I thought we were done for good.

Well-meaning friends convinced me to give it another chance, pointed out that we weren't really watching for good plot development or consistent characterisations anyway,

Come the long weekend I had all the time in the world to work on my uni assignment. I had an impulse to read a fic or two, which, I haven't really read much fic in months, so I wandered over to

crack_van, read a couple of pleasant fics. All was good, I was on track.

Then I found

libraryofsol. Aannd..that was my long weekend gone.

This writer is amazing. She writes both gen and slash, her gen fics are really funny and I love them too *gasp*

I feel I should warn that her use of punctuation is erratic and occasionally spell check fails her. However, she is so good this does not detract from my enjoyment of her fics, which is the biggest compliment I can pay her!! Yes, I know that says more about me, whatever. She is, however, going to let me start beta reading for her, yays!

Have now rewatched Primeval ~~sober~~. Even got to the end this time.

So there's this team! And they chase dinosaurs around and get snippy when the military contingent want to shoot them. And they are coolness.

special_trille is all about Primeval atm, so the other night

cricketk and I let her show us the pilot. It was fun. I mean, what's not great about dinosaurs?

Watched the next couple of episodes and they were okay, and then came the dodos. Dodos rock! And then the episode made me cry. The next episode was really, really cool too and now I'm hanging out for the next one.

And then last night we watched Heroes 12-14 last night, which was less interesting than Primeval.

Onset of obsession, anyone?
