I look at them, of course, because I am not a SAINT, but I’ve always been vaguely uncomfortable with paparazzi shots of celebrities just out and about, it’s like, they can’t just ever be left alone.

So, even though I still don’t follow it (this post not withstanding) I really like these new social media sites where celebrities can speak for themselves and post their own piccies. With any luck paparazzi shots will even lose popularity - they don’t compare with the intimacy of an actor talking to you /sharing a photo with you.

This may be my fave celebrity photo ever, a badly shot pic of the side/back of people’s heads, taken by Zachary Quinto. Just being, like, people.

So Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg and Benedict Cumberbatch go to Hooters... )

I don't follow twitter but people send me/post to lj links so here are two random adorable twitpics.

Hmmm, one of Misfits many strengths is the originality of the storylines. This episode was basically the reworking of a popular cliche, and so probably my least fave ep. But a cliche done by Misfits is still heaps of fun. And next week is the finale. Can't WAIT to see what they do with that!

Piccies, not spoilery for plot, a bit spoilery for the end bit, but exactly what you'd expect from them, so... )

Our family viewing at the moment is the 1970s version of The Tomorrow People. Bunny loves it!!! When I may possibly have made derogatory comment about one of the actor's acting skills, she was very eloquent in his defence.

It's cheesy, but they get points for a variety of extremely non-humanoid aliens.

And then there was THIS race. Apparently they used to do this sort of stuff as a 'fuck you' to the censorship laws of the time. )

*sigh* My last day of leave today. However, I have finished my Yuletide reading so now I'm down to housework, gardening and watching telly, so it's probably time to go back to work anyway!

I always complain I never have time to rewatch fave shows, but as Dragonfly is out and I'm just faffing about on my computer now, I actually have the tv on in the background. Paradox was freakin' awesome, and I'm very sad they only made the one season. I'd be very willing to show it to people. *looks hopeful*

Also, so, Primeval is back. Back on the emotional rollercoaster I go!

I've watched the first five minutes of episode 4.01 (can't watch the rest without Dragonfly).

Initial impressions! New guy I find vaguely repellent, but no doubt I'll get over that. Also, look at the way Becker is looking at him - what is with that?

OTOH, this is pretty damn cute. )

It's not the actor's fault, but I never really forgave Mitchell for not being the same character they introduced in the first pilot of Being Human - the emo, metrosexual, totally-all-over-George Mitchell, who pretended they were a gay couple for their estate agent and sprawled all over George when watching the telly. *sigh*

I'm not quite sure how I missed THIS. *FLAILS* )

Notice how threesomes have become way more common and believable? I credit writers finally writing awesome, strong, fabulous female characters.

List of OT3s and threesomes, because I like lists! )

I've seen the first dozen or so episodes of Stargate Season 9, some of them more than once as Dragonfly is only just getting around to watching this season. Somehow, I missed episode 4 the first time around. It's now my favourite episode so far. Not for the plot, you understand, there really wasn't much of one, but Mitchell and Daniel Jackson ran around in matching leather pants and co-ordinated Indiana Jones' outfits.
