This fic was recced to me and I innocently assumed it was slash and somehow ended up spending a huge amount of time invested in a GEN fic, with PLOT AND STUFF, and only a few cute scenes with John and Rodney, but it hooked me in because it was all Atlantis people devoted to each other and them against the universe! The last part turns into slash, but I actually thought it came out of nowhere and didn't have the same emotional investment as the rest of the fic, and in fact, was entirely superfluous.

I think probably everyone who's into the original Stargate has probably read this already *shrug*

We just watched that SGA/SG1 crossover ep. IT was GREAT. Of course, I'm half a season behind on SG1 but apparently that didn't matter. Also, being somewhat drunk helped, I'm not sure what the thing with the supergates was all about but I don't think it matters. soooooo pished. *points* That last bit? Dragonfly wrote that. She is amused by the amount of time I am spending backspacing and retyping.

Also, I may have a bit of crush on Vala. And McKay? Where did his hips go? He's like, skinnier than Vala, and that's just WRONG. Did I mention there was alcohol involved?

There's no context here, I'm just hoping one day I'll be cool enough to use them.

So those who've had actual live contact with me recently know this already, but I've just discovered Stargate love obsession.

Now, Stargate's been a regular in my life for many years now. It's Dragonfly's favourite fandom and so I can safely say I've watched nearly all the episodes of seasons 1-5 several times. At least. We've somehow missed some eps of 6 and 7 but I'm sure that will be remedied soon.

I've read fic, occasionally, when recced - sometimes it's *done* it for me (Daniel Jackson's Diary by Anais , and That Kylie Lee Fic That I've Raved About Before come to mind) have even written something at a request of a friend But Generally, you know, whatever.

Season 8 starts. We're taping it, but really, I've only heard bad things about it from the Americans, so somehow don't get around to watching it....until a fortnight ago.

I'm currently reading Keiko Kirin's fics Her Steak series is very cool, their relationship develops around adventures through the gate. And I've just read 'Four Fours' short, but hawt.
