There's no context here, I'm just hoping one day I'll be cool enough to use them.
So those who've had actual live contact with me recently know this already, but I've just discovered Stargatelove obsession.
Now, Stargate's been a regular in my life for many years now. It's Dragonfly's favourite fandom and so I can safely say I've watched nearly all the episodes of seasons 1-5 several times. At least. We've somehow missed some eps of 6 and 7 but I'm sure that will be remedied soon.
I've read fic, occasionally, when recced - sometimes it's *done* it for me (Daniel Jackson's Diary by Anais , and That Kylie Lee Fic That I've Raved About Before come to mind) have even written something at a request of a friend But Generally, you know, whatever.
Season 8 starts. We're taping it, but really, I've only heard bad things about it from the Americans, so somehow don't get around to watching it....until a fortnight ago.
OMG MASSIVE STARGATE LOVE.
Reasons why Season 8 is the BEST EVA (bearing in mind we haven't seen it all yet)
1 Daniel's newly muscled body, especially sweaty and wearing that tight white singlet in that jungle ep.
2. Teal'c's cheeky grin in that scene where he and Daniel go to cheer up Sam, who's sulking.
3 SAM. My fave character, because she's fabulous and hot and because she's a woman kicking butt. And she's getting major screen time finally One of my fave moments, when she leads SG1 'we don't need no 4th team member' through the stargate and they step out of the wormhole and it's Sam in the lead flanked by Teal'c and Daniel. She's my hero :)
4 Dr Elizabeth Weir. Great character especially as played by Jessica Steen, specifically. Was disappointed by actor-swap and then again by the character buggering off, as I was already anticipating the possibilitiy of Sam/Elizabeth slash. Damn.
5, The battle scene straight out of Star Wars. I don't care, it rocks.
6. When Kinsey gets TOLD, first by Dr Weir, and then by the Prez in a scene very reminicent of Independance Day (I don't care, it rocks.)
7. Teal'c's hair.
8. Jack in charge. And they should have kept that civilian aide.
9. Daniel -'omg Teal'c is so deep, go on, tell them how deep you are!'
Though, really, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL SOMEBODY STOP CHRISTOPHER JUDGE FROM WRITING EPISODES. KTHNX

makesmewannadie cos she rules with the recs. even makes rps look intriguing, I'm definitely going to have to check out Pierce Brosnan/his make up artist, wtf?
I'm currently reading Keiko Kirin's fics Her Steak series is very cool, their relationship develops around adventures through the gate. And I've just read 'Four Fours' short, but hawt.
