I hope I gave you plenty of ideas to play with and inspire you. I've tried to give you lots of scope, but if you find you can't work with them, or if you have another brilliant idea that excites you to write, then don't feel locked in to my prompts. I really believe the most important thing about these fic exchanges is writing a story that you're enthusiastic about and have fun writing.

Just briefly with the likes/dislikes - I love character driven stories that focus on relationships (either ships or devoted friendships), add as much or as little plot as you like. Please, please, NO character death, rape, partner betrayal etc. I don't mind angst, as long as there's a happy ending. I am all about THE HAPPY.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost to play the Thomson twins in Tintin In other random trivia, the actor who played Liam Neeson's son in Love Actually was signed up to play Tintin, but delays made him pull out, or something. I can't remember where I heard this, mind. Also, I just looked him up, apparently he's Hugh Grant's cousin.


Green Wing

Probably of interest to like, two people on my flist, from Green Wing season 2, no idea of context but yay, I found another Alan/Boyce clip

I ordered the entire Green Wing box set - 2 seasons and the Christmas special from Amazon.uk the other day. It was on special, even!!! I am on one of my fannish highs where I think everyone should come over to my house and be introduced to my fandom du jour. However, I realise that Green Wing is somewhat unusual and not to everyone's taste. Would anyone even be interested?

I am THRILLED that the next big slash fandom is looking likely to be Merlin, judging by the number of excellent fics I've seen so far. Yays. Thing that I've noticed, though, is the number of Americanisms that are cropping up in otherwise awesome fics, and it got me to thinking about why this didn't happen so much in Harry Potter. I think it's because with HP you had so much canon to work with, both in films and books, that informed us exactly what was in the world, and how it operated, and how people spoke etc. With Merlin we have 13 episodes of anachronistic fun, why would people even think research is necessary? However, if I read one more fic where people address Arthur as 'Your majesty' I may not be responsible for my actions! I may whinge even more
