I nearly went to work today! It was, um, 9:30 and I was all dressed except for pants (and boots obviously, if I'd got my boots on but not my pants I think that would be a pretty clear indication that I shouldn't be going anywhere except back to bed) But then! Someone from work rang me and talked me OUT of coming in! See how my workplace is made of awesome?

Instead I shall continue my quest to watch ~~at least a few seconds of~~ every single Dr Who vid on youtube. I KNOW. Wish me luck!

*I keep having conversations with people where I am indignant about Martha being in love with the Doctor. The writers seem unable to comprehend that women function on many emotional levels. Martha can crave an emotional connection with the Doctor that he's unable to provide because of the loss of Rose without her falling in love with him.

Texted one of my assistants last night to make sure he had a key to open the store today. He texted back at THREE AM to tell me he didn't. Okay, sure I was up, stupidly I was not expecting to have to throw myself out of bed at 7.30 to go meet him at the store. And then he was SIX MINUTES late. *glares* It matters. So I've had four hours sleep. I suspect this guy is running a double shift on less than that.

It was probably the sleep deprivation that made me follow links to fanfiction.net and read Jeeves and Wooster CROSSOVER fics. The Blackadder one is surprisingly good, the Dr Who one was amusing - I had issues with Captain Jack being a bit of a drama queen - til I remembered the Cyberwoman episode of Torchwood.

I freely admit my lack of education - I did not know that Equus was about a man who has sex with a horse. Ordinarily, this would not faze me overmuch - but these photos of naked Harry Potter are just...I'm not coping. He's like this man-boy and it's freaky and yes I KNOW have read entirely too many fics where HP has sex of, pretty much every conceivable kind, but I don't want to actually SEE his not quite grown up body like for real. *dies*

Rope was always my favourite Hitchcock film mostly because the main characters were a gay couple, even if they were, you know, murderers. And here it says the gay aspect was played down in the film!!! OMG can you imagine the play, with Barrowman and Denisof? *is ded*

It seems like John Barrowman is on every talk show and variety show ever in the UK at the moment, with gigs left right and centre. He's the star of the highest rating show on BBC3 ever, which has just been renewed and moved to BBC2 (is that like a promotion or what?).

And in two weeks he weds his partner Scott, in a small ceremony with only his 'closest friends, family, and the cast of Torchwood' present.

He and Scott have been together for sixteen years.

Sixteen years. I am all melty and awww about this.

So then I read an article in a stupid women's magazine (I was trapped at dance reheasal DON'T JUDGE ME) about how people who've been together for years and years finally get married and then they split up soon after, and how this usually because they get married for the wrong reasons.

And now I'm vaguely stressed at the thought of John and Scott breaking up. Why I am feeling at all invested in this I have no idea.
