- Kevin Sorbo’s pants are not tight enough.

- The computer’s cleavage isn’t low enough. In fact, why have her wearing clothes at all?

- Oh, please tell me Kevin and his epically sulky first officer are having lots of intense brooding sex.

- I do like the bug officer. She's cool.

- Oh of course intense sulky first officer is a traitor.

- BUG OFFICER GO SPLAT.

omg the new Lynx ad. I loves it! Starts with a group of HOT stewardesses (using that term deliberately) in bright yellow minidresses/uniforms striding in slow mo on the runway and then once you're on the plane there's massages and hottubs.

When we go to America I am SO wearing Lynx! I want the massages and the hottub and the attention from foxes in yellow minis.

I love yellow.

No. Really.

Saw this ad for Today Tonight - The Miracle Dress That Looks Great On Every Woman. This is *news*. I'm just saying, there is nothing more important to talk about at the moment?

Me It's a MAGIC dress. When bigger people put it on, all the extra weight gets sucked into it and then when skinny people put it on the weight slides back into the dress and fills it out. Voila!
Dragonfly So does that mean when you take off the dress the extra weight is gone too?
Me No, the magic is IN the dress.
Dragonfly It's rubbish magic, then. And also, TERROR LAWS.

Now I'm thinking this post should be DELINGUISHED.

*watches as flist all click on their online dictionaries*

Delinguish is my NEW FAVOURITE WORD.

# It is Harry's last year at Hogwarts, and he discovers a new weapon that will delinguish Voldemort forever.

Ah, Summary Executions, I always forget about you until I stumble over excitedness in some friend of friend of friendslist.

Also, 'annihilate' is just too complicated, I think. Sure, it looks pretty, and it's an exciting challenge for those weirdos who go on Spelling Bee tournaments, but really wouldn't it be just better like this...

An rich american family was the victim of a Lord Voldemort attack. They were almost completly enialated, except for one girl, the only witch, at least, that's what she thinks.

No really, I'm going to change my spellcheck. Also, I think 'freind' should be spelt like this. I've always thought so. In fact I spent my entire primary school career getting marked down on it. Sure, I knew how they thought it should be spelt, but clearly my way is better. Everyone can see this, right?

In conclusion, I really, really want to read this fic...

God has found a way to unite the kindgoms of Heaven and Hell. It involves his son Draco and Lucifer's son Harry

Well, okay, not *that* actual fic. But the fic that, say, [livejournal.com profile] helenish could write given that premise.

*sigh*

Also, I just went through this post and deleted about twelve exclamation mark. I've become an exclamation mark ho.

I've recently been resisting the temptation to go looking for 'Lost' fic, seeing as how I hates the spoilers, and any fic not actually a single page PWP is bound to be chockers with them. Well, for a moment this evening I wavered. I fell. I googled Sawyer/Sayid, clicked on the first link and then the first story. I read four lines. And was forcibly reminded of why I generally only read fics from rec pages. I had an idea that I would post the first few lines of the fic here to illustrate the point, and went back to the page and thought I better read a few more lines, and then had to resist the urge to stab my own eyes out. Oh, what the hell.

My eyes! They burn! )

But if anyone does happen to know of any good fic that doesn't contain huge spoilery stuff...

Yeah, didn't think so.

I started reading a Harry/Draco fic, but then Draco 'replied saucily', and I had to stop.

I got lucky Sunday night...

....and the ten people on my flist who were at the Gathering at my place are now thinking 'not with me!'

15 slashers in my tiny loungeroom...pretty cosy, is what I'm saying...

So, anyway, on with the Latest Thing That Happened to Sarren.

So it's late. Everyone's abandoned Sports Night and gone home, even[livejournal.com profile] ascetic_hedony who'd stuck around for some Coupling.

I'm actually asleep (as opposed to ljing at some obscene hour of the morning) and a Noise wakes me!

(NB. I can, and have, slept through a bobcat razing our backyard)

I peer through my blinds and on at the end of our circular-driveway-thingy there's a car stopped, engine running, lights on. I'm like, uh oh, and I watch it for maybe 5 minutes til I hear guys' voices talking and then I'm thinking, oh it's just the hoons that live nearly opposite to us, and go back to sleep.

The next morning the car's gone but there's a trail of devastation. The car's obviously come up the kerb from the opposite side of the property, first flattening the no parking sign on the edge, taking out our small tree near the road completely, big tyre grooves all through our mulching and coming to a stop just before the streetlamp.

The part where I got lucky? I normally park my car in the centre of the circular, but for the gathering I had moved it to the end, just like I always do, so that we can fit more cars in. Except that this Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] dragonfly8 had said, why not reverse it right back up into the garden a bit, to make even more room? To which I'd mumbled something vaguely agreeingish and kept on with whatever I was doing, and [livejournal.com profile] dragonfly8 said, hey I'll do it shall I? And did.

So the fact that my car is not currently totalled is down to [livejournal.com profile] dragonfly8 's proactiveness.

Last post I contributed to the mockery of others. By laughing and pointing at the strange and unusual descriptions some writers give their stories to entice us to read them.

We mock, we wonder at these amateurish efforts...

(Disclaimer: I in no way mean to imply that I could do better, in fact I'm damn positive that any attempts by me would be equally as lame)

...so the next day I see an ad in the paper for a new film out that I've never heard of (always a good sign)

"LEGITIMATELY SCARY!

GODSEND
When a miracle becomes a nightmare, evil is born.

Someone got PAID to come up with that.

No, really.

I didn't like Underworld all that much.

I despised Van Helsing.

I thought I might be turning into a Mundane.

I used to be so easy to please. I liked, nay, loved Armageddon. I liked Independance Day. I liked The Shadow. Hell, I liked Judge Dredd! See, not critical.

I watched Van Helsing and was not entertained. I sat in the cinema and felt like I did not belong.

At this point I mention that we had to leave before the end. Around the time David Wenham was surprisingly adding nothing to the movie, but screeching something about Viscious Liquids.

See, the website said the movie was 93 minutes long. It lied. In a way it was relief to find out that time hadn't actually slowed down. (I was literally sitting thinking that this was the longest 93 minutes of my life - turns out it wasn't.)

So we had to leave. So sad. And I rang and explained (yes, people, I complained) and got free tickets for another film. So I like to think that at least we didn't have to pay for our VH experience.

So tonight we went along to Harry Potter.

And I was worried I wouldn't like it that much. What with suddenly being so critical of films, also I've noticed my friends don't seem too enthusiasic.

Screw that. I loved it.

Yes there was a whole critically important chunk of the book left out. I just want to grab the scriptwriters and the directors and explain slowly and in words of one syllable the seriousness of their mistake. Ah...good fantasies...

Yes, there was the amusing scene where Harry's scar has apparently decided to see what the scenery is like from the other side of his forehead...

Having said that, totally see Lupin/Black now. Still don't want to read it, mind.

Also, Snape. Pretty.

George and Fred. Studly. Make me think naughty twins/Harry thoughts.

Draco (Tom's acne thankfully covered by makeup) Yummy.

And now last but not least, feeling horribly pervy about my new appreciation for Harry. Cos DR isn't isn't even nearly of age yet, is he?

Blood Magic has been updated!

happy dance

and [livejournal.com profile] gatewaygirl says there'll be another within a week.

And, on 'Enterprise'

What to say. Having only ever caught bits and pieces before, discovered last night that [livejournal.com profile] dragonfly8 was waiting for me to watch these episodes she'd been given.

Watched one. Was completely incapable of censoring the sark. I tried to keep my mouth shut. I really did!

I do realise that I am not making any informed judgements here, and in fact must watch more of this drivel latest gem from the Star Trek money-making machine enterprise. (Look! I punned!)
