Ack! Publisher question

Help!! People who are actually able to use Publisher effectively.

Have imported an enhanced digital photo into a document (pamphlet) by copy and paste, but when I save to USB drive the image vanishes, white box remains.

Am I missing some vital step here???

I don't know Publisher, but in other page-layout programs there are options where you can choose to store the image in the document (embed it) or just link to it. The former is what you want if you want the document to be portable without having to copy the image file, too.
