Help!! People who are actually able to use Publisher effectively.

Have imported an enhanced digital photo into a document (pamphlet) by copy and paste, but when I save to USB drive the image vanishes, white box remains.

Am I missing some vital step here???

Please?

(a) Publisher suxs
(b) do you have enough RAM?

Sarcasm aside, maybe what is happening is it's putting in an absolute link to the path of the file e.g. C:/My Document/...pic.jpg rather than a relative link .../pic.jpg.

BUT, I don't use Publisher so I couldn't say for sure.

Anyone else have ideas?

I don't know Publisher, but in other page-layout programs there are options where you can choose to store the image in the document (embed it) or just link to it. The former is what you want if you want the document to be portable without having to copy the image file, too.

If you're speaking of MS Publisher:

Create a picture frame. (If you're not sure how, here's how: On the Objects toolbar, click Picture Frame. Position the mouse pointer and click where you want one corner of the frame to appear, hold down the mouse button while you drag the mouse diagonally until the frame is the size you want, and release the mouse button.)

Then go to Insert > Picture > Add file

Then save your work. That should fix it. I used Publisher all the time.

I am SO SORRY to bother you again, but I need to know how to add a voice over to a slide show. I have tried googling but can't find what I need *headdesk* I'm probably looking in the wrong place. Do you know where they keep tutorials for this sort of thing?

No Bother!

Are you using Powerpoint or something else to make your slideshow?

Thank you! This one seems much easier to follow than the one we found.
