Why are the episodes so uneven?
Jun. 4th, 2007 09:47 amNo doubt other people are spending their day on productive things. I am compiling a list of which writers wrote which Dr Who episodes, since I am apparently failing at the internets today.
I want to see if it's the same people who keep on giving The Doctor these freakin' superpowers, and/or just generally being crap so I canavoid those episodes be prepared for disappointment.
Just watched 'Human Nature' last night, and it made me SO HAPPY to see Paul Cornell's name in the credits. And omgomgomg I am hanging out for Dragonfly to wake up so we can watch the second part!!
IT'S 10AM, WHY IS SHE NOT UP YET?
Edit - Ooh..interesting.
I'm surprised how many writers there are, and that most people only wrote one episode:
Steven Moffat wrote both my favourite episode 'The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances' and the episode that I disliked the most 'The Girl in the Fireplace'** - and he's written next week's episode 'Blink' too.
Matt Jones wrote my second favourite 'The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit'
Chris Chibnall wrote the rip off of Impossible Planet, '42'
Gareth Roberts wrote the fabulous 'Shakespeare Code'
The episode that made me go omg enough with the daleks already and otherwise bored me to tears, 'Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks' was written by the only female writer, Helen Raynor.
**I know, many people LOVED 'The Girl in the Fireplace. It made me wrathful. There may have been shouting at the computer.

Date: 2007-06-04 04:18 am (UTC)I accidently deleted one of your comments - by 'accidently' I mean it had spoilers for last week's ep and I panicked and hit delete, but then it asked me if I was sure and I decided that I'd leave it there and just Edit the post to say there were mild spoilers in the comments and I backed out of the page but it's deleted it anyway. Sorry!
Sorry!
