Not last minute or anything, but I can't make it to Swancon. If anyone knows someone who hasn't bought their ticket yet, and would rather have it half price, please send 'em my way.
Will send what i have now so you can see what i've been doing - these are first drafts (and not looking like they'll be polished more. Struggling with the Meekosha reading *ridiculously* and yes with the wishy washy and omg so annoying! We get awesome readings with Pop Culture and the Everyday, also really enjoying Critical and Creative Thinking. I be that internal would be better with this unit - but only doing one internal and that's Pop Culture (and *loving it*) Hope seeing the drafts of mine helps a little. I haven't been able to get feedback from Jennie which is a shame as knowing whether I'd done *enough* or *not enough* or *too much* would be great right about now. Also, car studying is good - and fun, you have a captive audience to read things too, and conversational studying sticks better I find :)
I can't read them now - first of all, I haven't done enough readings to even know what you're talking about, and secondly, I should probably do my equivalent ones first so I don't risk copying yours. Can I try for Monday? We can talk about them after you've finished Swancon?
No, she's not ignoring me - she did give me the extension. But no feedback. Which I am sad about because especially for external students, this makes a huge difference - in a subject like this, it may see me continue to want to engage.
What actually happened? did you send her something and ask her if you were on the right track and she said she couldn't answer? or did she not answer at all?
Have you considered introducing topics to discuss on the "discussions board"? Seriously, how hard would it have been for them to allocate 10% of our mark to online discussions??
I suggest a follow up email explaining that you're new to studying and still finding your way and that you're feeling a bit lost and is she able to provide any advice, as per your previous request.
It's more than likely she's just overlooked that email, or meant to answer it later and forgot. Given how crap the communication and guidance is for this unit, she's probably had heaps of emails from students!
Screw it. she should have at least acknowledged your question. would you feel up to calling her up and asking if she's allowed to give you feedback or not? You know, between 2am and 2.07am on the second Tuesday of the full moon, or whenever her contact hours are?
