Dragonfly has me trapped in front of a never ending line up of kid's films.
The day started out so promisingly too, we got up and watched the new Atlantis ep - so for the first time I don't have to spend weeks avoiding half my flist and 90% of new fics. I tried to escape to my computer at that point, but then Dragonfly started grooming the dog, which requires me to be present to distract and brush him. 'Five Children and It' was on, which I half watched - the Sand Fairy was voiced by Eddie Izzard.
Then Dragonfly chucked lunch in the microwave and put on 'Sky High'.
Me - I'm not wasting another 2 hours of my day off watching kids' films when I could be wasting it on the internet!!
Dragonfly - You can play on my laptop after lunch, I'm going to do ironing.
Ten minutes later
*microwave beeps*
Ten minutes later
Me - Okay, you're going to have to hit pause if we're ever going to eat.
Very cute film. The main character's best friend (obviously destined to be the love interest)is like a really pale-skinned Lana Lang clone, only with personality, and his high school arch-nemesis (obviously going to be his best friend) is the cutest baby!Ronon.
Now she's put on 'The Fantastic Four'. At least Jessica Alba and that Hornblower guy are pretty. Lordy, I don't know who that blond guy is and frankly I don't care, that blue lycra suit that clings to every curve has to be seen to be believed. Jessica and Hornblower are expositing right now - I'm waiting for my brain to reengage.

Date: 2006-07-19 11:48 am (UTC)I may possibly have read Sky High fanfic. Some of it may have been quite good. Warren Peace (played by actor Steven Strait who is about 20 and an underwear model which makes everything just peachy) does smouldering eyelove with the best of them.
