I have a chicken! It is cut in half with yummy spices on it.

How long do I cook it in the oven?

Please to be helping me because googling the internets brings out the crazies...VEGEMITE BASTING???

Luckily you've picked a meal that's pretty no fuss!

If they were my pieces of chook, I'd place them on a baking tray that I'd lined with foil and sprayed with oil-inna-can, and bung in the oven on 180 degrees celsius for however long it took. It could be 40 minutes, it could be an hour, it could be longer, but I'd turn the pieces over after 30 minutes to do the other side, and to check the progress. (Time depends on thickness of pieces)

If I think it might get a bit dry, I toss a teaspoon or two of water in the pan, too. It'll get steamy which is good.

When you take it out, if the flesh near the bone joints is still pink, it needs a bit more time. You don't want raw chook. If you ever serve up chook that is a bit too pink, you could cheat by putting it in the microwave for a couple of minutes to finish it off, then put it back on the table.

Have a nice dinner! :-D
