I've been faffing around for the last couple of hours downloading new Buffyverse songvids and rewatching the same few favourites I've been watching obsessively between long work shifts for the last few days. Now I'm supposed to be getting ready to go to a party - of people from work, a party at which I expect everybody present to be at least a dozen years younger than me. *headdesk* I should be happy that I was invited, yes?

So, now that I'm supposed to be doing something else, I feel an urge to post. Avoidance, much?

So, about my current shiny. I love BtVS. All of it, even *gasp* season 7!! (Or was it season 6 people were cranky about, I can't remember) I loved AtS for three great seasons, though I did stop watching about the middle of season 4 due to my intense dislike of the Connor/Cordelia arc. I have seen a few season 5 eps, and keep meaning to watch more, hell just for Spike if nothing else.

I don't read in the fandom. I confess to a brief affair with Wesley/Gunn back in the early days, before Fred came along but then, see, Fred came along.

I love canon. Gay, het, UST, whatever. And the Buffyverse is chock full of relationship arcs, or UST that gets resolved. Or doesn't. I don't feel an urge to go out and seek more. I recently came across an amusing Spike/Xander, but I can't believe in the pairing, because we know who they want/love.

(And then Joss did it to us in Firefly with Serenity. I used to happily slash my little heart out, but now I can't, because he's resolved the relationships. It's canon.)


Anyhow, songvid recs

This site has an interesting range of themes and techniques. My favourite is 'The Kids Aren't Alright', a Scooby ensemble piece. I also really like 'Meglomaniac', it's set to an Incubus music video and it's visually very cool.
