Initial obsessive phase of new obsession finally worn off…

That's because I mentioned I was finally going to watch the 7th season Buffy tapes she brought around, oh, a couple of weeks ago, this because I caught a few seconds of sexy sexy Faith on Foxtel and realised there was half a season I hadn't seen yet.

My sneaky, subtle, diabolical plot to convert all my friends proceeds according to plan. Only tonight mr booboo confessed that SHE"S INTO THE FANDOM. I'm ignoring the fact that she looked really embarrassed as she said the words. The fact that she keeps dropping by to exchange tapes speaks for itself. Cos, you know, she lives so close…

K ran off with season one after I sat on her and talked obsessively at her until she caved (oh wait, no, that was my strategy with mr booboo and silver_b_a) K actually expressed interest at the outset, which saved both time and her being squashed. I only had time to show her three eps before other people arrived for 'Get Real' and socialising was forced upon us.

Zebra's only seen one or two, but I don't forsee her putting up any resistance. I cite Due South to back up my claim.

Silver_b_a, having been forced to endure repeated exposure has cracked, and expressed interest in fic recs.

Just found me a redback outside the backdoor. Now me and bugs I feel a need to kill (which isn't many of them, mainly cockroaches *shudder*) After I spend 10 minutes locating a nearly empty can of poison, while exercising my mental willpower to prevent said bug from wandering off, I spray bug. Once. Twice at the most. Unlike housemate who generally empties half a can per spider.

Except of course for redbacks with potential access to Bunny, as Bunny spends as much time Outside as she can convince us to spend supervising her. Must now contact bugspraying people.

That redback is now paste - on the grounds it might have been full of baby redbacks.

Anecodote - my nephew, a while back, age 2, wandered into house to show Mummy item squashed between finger and thumb. Yes, it was a redback.

I just went out the side door and there's a frick'n Huntsman!! Luckily for him he was in the dog's food bowl so I just tipped him over the neighbour's fence. Hey, they don't have small children.

And can I say, Western Power spokesman, blaming *us* for using our airconditioners during this heatwave... gotta admire their gall, if not their intelligence
