Just caught up on the latest few episodes of Supernatural, enjoying this season a lot, yay!

Loved the episode with the gay couple, especially the ending.


Supernatural just showed how easy inclusion and character diversity can be

Then I watched episodes 3-4 of Damien, and the police detective who has figured out that Damien is involved in several suspicious deaths and has got all up in his face about it, goes home to his husband and son.

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.

Oh, ha, when I went looking for confirmation that I hadn't somehow misinterpreted a scene where the detective comes down to breakfast, hovers closely over the shoulder of a man who smiles at him and shoos him away and then goes and talks to the child sitting eating breakfast I found this scathing review of the episode/show

Oh, and I was going to make a joke about how Damien seemed to be putting on some sexual tension between himself and Detective, but it turns out Detective actually is gay, and has a husband in addition to a son. I appreciated the subtle insertion of it.

Ha, I wasn't the only one liking the vibe between Damien and the detective. But married, so never mind...



Damien is...not a good show so far. The pilot was underwhelming, so I didn't rush to watch anymore but now astolat is writing awesome, awesome Lucifer/Damien fic, so i have watched a few more eps and am mildly interested enough to keep going (as long as I can play on the internet while I do).

Fic rec! astolat has written two fics in a series (gods i hope there's more coming), and has invited other people to write stories in this universe. I'd be tempted if I wasn't too intimidated! Because it's awesome! Go read it!

Why, why, why is there no fanart for their found family yet.

The best vid in the world won't do much for me if I don't like the music, and I will love intensely a mediocre vid with one of my favourite songs.

This is a freakin AMAZING Dean/Sam vid, WITH ACTUAL KISSING. But I don't like the song. *cries*

Goodbye My Lover
BtVS, Everything I love so much about Buffy/Spike. Except the end of the vid sucks - I have no idea what the vidder was trying to achieve, but she fails.

This is pretty compelling reading. However, as the author hasn't attached warnings to it, I feel obliged to, since I'm reccing it and all.

Watched our last two last night, which for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, were 2.12 and then 2.06. Continuity - who needs it.

I like Jo a lot. I like the interaction between Dean and Jo.

I would read Dean/Jo. But because I am incredibly finicky about het it would have to be fabulous.

Also, bushland down the block burnt last night. Completely failed to notice the smell of smoke (hello? Watching Supernatural!) Twas the sirens that finally got us out to the back porch to gawk.

Also, KMart are having a sale, picked up the first couple of seasons of Deadwood and Entourage cheap.

And because he is a sneaky, sneaky man, he snuck in a SPN RPS fic, which I ignored completely for the length of time it took me to download the vids, at which point I thought, how often does AH rec stuff? This must be the best fic ever.

So I read http://winterlive.livejournal.com/217618.html. And it was really good. I hope that the friendship between Jenson and Jared is that cool in real life. And then there was some hot sex. And it was good.

And then I remember that months ago someone had emailed me an SPN RPS fic to read cos they loved it so much, and if I remember right my reaction was something along the lines of 'm'what, now?' And it sat, lonely on my desktop for a long time and then got filed away.

So I get out http://winterlive.livejournal.com/203560.html. Finally. And it is indeed very good. And hot. And oddly familiar.

It was just freaky, that I was able to recognise that both fics recced to me were the same fic by the same author. Maybe she's the Go To girl for all your hot SPN RPS needs.

I really enjoyed both fics, just..

Probably best not to read them both on the same day, is all.
