YAYAYAYAY

I enjoyed it a lot. I do love a good battle.

Neville rocked! Hermione/Ron actually did not nauseate me! The Big Reveal about Snape. Snape!

I loved the whole going to war scene and the Final Battle. Though I did get distracted by this line 'Voldemort's hand was trembling on the Elder Wand and Harry gripped Draco's very tightly'. Hee! I was like, why is he holding Draco's hand? Where did Draco come from? Yay Draco! And then I was sad when it wasn't so.

And of course, the whinging.

I do feel cheated that nobody important died. Cheated. (Though Dobby's made me cry, which was pretty impressive)

OMG, the Slytherins. We get this one good line about them having to choose sides and then because of Pansy they're all just lumped together and shoved out? *is bitter*

And Draco Malfoy was a whole big nothing in the end. I was thinking as I was forcing myself to read that tacked on, pointless epilogue, that the only way it would have been worth having that scene was if Albus and Scorpius met and it was the start of a beautiful friendship or something. And giving Draco a receding hairline was just MEAN. *g*

Well, that was fun. *wanders back to bandom*

Hee! Look at your new layout.

Your thoughts are fairly similar to mine. I'm quite content with the book. I don't really have a whinge, except that I rather wistfully would have liked to see one of the characters (not necessarily one of the major ones) be something other than het. Would have been nice, you know?

Of all the deaths, the one that affected me the most was Hedwig. Closely followed by Dobby. I sobbed, and then I got all verklempt again when telling someone about it, who wanted to know what happened without having to read the book.

My new layout suits my current interests *g*

Dobby's death upset me more than I would have imagined. He was the only one I cried over.

I mourn Snape the most, but it was too sudden and cliched a death for me to be invested in it at the time.

I found the ay the Slytherins were all lumped together really annoying. Obviously they are one group mind and that group is represented by Pansy.

It's a society where race, sex, werewolfishness don't matter but your house does. This is the bit that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm surprised she bothered to give any of the non cliched Slytherins names at all.

Even right at the end when Harry tells Albus it's fine if he get sorted into Slytherin, but then tells him how to avoid it :(

I was a bit excited when Harry went and saved Draco from certain death, and Draco was all clingy on the broom. *g*

I have to say, I hadn't thought about it, but I'm a bit upset that the Slytherins were all chucked together too. I wish she'd made a point about saying how some of the stayed behind, because they wanted to help.

And yeah - Draco being just about a big nothing. What a cheat! I feel totally cheated by that. *humphs*

CHEATED!!

Though, if I were a Slytherin and all the other houses were surrounding me pointing weapons at me, I probably wouldn't want to stay either.

I was really afraid when Ron walked out on Harry that you might be right about what you said might happen with him! I had to stop reading for a while and steel my nerves to carry on.

Ron demonstrated every single trait I dislike about him in this book, but he still proved himself in the end. *shrug* Yay for him.

If you read this page by page summary, the author adds up Ron's less desirable characteristics as they are each displayed, and ends up with.

Ron Weasley: date rapist, hypocrite, general idiot, total chickenshit, whiny bitch, manic depressive, double dealer and bloodthirsty savage

I was really disappointed in Ron when he walked out, but it meant there could be a reunion and an apology, and I love a good apology! I still find all of Ron's flaws very understandable, given his position in his family and the fact that his best friend is the most famous person in his world. Didn't like his comments about Slytherin in the epilogue, though, and I'm not quite sure what Hermione sees in him. It's easier for me to see Harry falling for him than Hermione.

I didn't like the bit about the Slyterin's, either. C'mon, there had to be one or two in there that weren't evil and selfish. I thought the traits were cunning, ambitious and resourceful. That does not always equal bad.

I didn't mind the ending too much even though it did feel... a tad contrived. (ok, more than a tad) I think it may have been intended for the younger readers, but I did appreciate the bit about Albus Severus. My poor Severus. Anyway, yeah a bit too much but I like your version rather well, Albus and Scorpius playing pranks at Hogwarts, omg.

AND HEY! Sev was important! *whines* ;P

Snape = AWESOME.

Albus and Scorpius playing pranks would be COOL.

The more that I think about it, if I had the entire rest of the school pointing weapons at me, I probably wouldn't want to stay either.
