Yuletide for the win!

sarrenYuletide this year is super easy for this tech-useless person.
Finding a beta - I always have to wander into IRC come mid December to find betas, and I've really been super confident of how that works, but this year they're on Discord as well, yay, which is super easy to use - plus has the benefit of being the platform my teenager uses with her mates, so I have in house tech support *g* Ha, her FACE when I announced I was on Discord now. I was like 'relax, I'm not stalking you, this is not about you!'
The full list of prompts - each year they've been finding a easier way to provide this, but this year they've outdone themselves, this platform is amazing. Super easy to search, including just being able to pull up a fandom and click open all the prompts for that one fandom. Love it.
Pinch hitting - I haven't bothered trying to claim a pinch hit as the emails flood in for years, I figured they had like a thousand pinch hitters, things always get claimed quickly, I may as well just write treats, that way the more fics the merrier. This year they've shifted to a google group, and you can just go and look! and see the list online! and do a sort on unclaimed! It's awesome. I think they lost most of their existing list when this happened, I was in the discord yuletide chatroom last night and they were talking about how they are super keen for more pinch hitters, and pinch hits are NOT getting snapped up like they used to. There are still several unclaimed from the batch they sent out hours before I went to bed last night. If anyone's interested, I'm pretty sure anyone can be a pinch hitter, you don't have to be signed up. (more instructions here)
