We need to talk about the most effective ways to reduce our carbon footprint Anthropocene

I like that it discusses flaws and biases in studies. And while I believe that it's all ultimately futile as long as fossil fuel companies hold sway, i also believe that individuals have a responsibility to do what they can as well instead of relying on governments/technology to save us. No change for the good is wasted.

The Point of No Return: Climate Change Nightmares Are Already Here Rolling Stone

2015 article, but good overview of various environmental challenges. Talks a lot about my personal hero, James Hanson, and also mentions Katherine Hayhoe, who I find interesting because she's an evangelical Christian who's been going around these communities for years explaining that climate change and fighting is God's will and consistent with their beliefs. First time I've read about her exit strategy to Canada, though.

Gif set of Chris Hedges talking about late stage capitalism

and somewhat relatedly, George Monbiot article in The Guardian reccing a book by Nancy MacLean - 'Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America'
