Also, purely selfishly cos I loves me the Big Reveal, how cool would it be if Rudy (just before Dexter comes riding to the rescue) was like, 'I only wanted you to get close to Dexter, I'm totally fixated on him, he's just like the bestest serial killer EVA!' Except then Deb would have to DIE, and that would be bad.

OR, Dexter shows up and Rudy has the knife to Deb's throat AND MAKES DEXTER 'FESS UP TO EVERYTHING.
