David Ogden Stiers comes out - hey, apparently there was a MASH spinoff called afterMASH?

♥ Charles Winchester was my favourite character ♥

I've learned to do hearts now, and I'm not afraid to use them

Yay DOS!

Trapper John MD was another MASH-related show. (I don't recall watching it much though.)

Kelly McGillis came out recently too.

psst...put a semi-colon after the s in hearts ♥

Don't forget W*A*L*T*E*R (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W*A*L*T*E*R) when discussing MASH spinoffs! It lasted one episode.

I honestly don't remember Winchester that well - all the MASH I've seen as an adult was from the first five or six seasons, and while I watched some MASH as a kid it was pretty sporadic due to having no commercial television in South Hedland.

I am not surprised in the slightest that Stiers is gay, and I'm very glad that he's felt comfortable enough to come out.

Actually, I need to qualify that, the later seasons, that I remember watching over and over, were that good. A couple of years ago I got season one as a present and was horrified at how nasty the humour was. I didn't watch more than a couple eps.

There was a scene where as a joke, Hawkeye convinced a guy that Houlihan secretly liked him and was waiting for him to come to her in her tent, so this guy went in and tried to be amorous, and this poor woman obviously woke up thinking she was being raped and screamed and screamed with terror and oh, the HILARITY. Hawkeye and the other guys laughed, and laughed.
