In less than a week I've written 8000 words of a new Batman fic, in between working, looking after Bunny and TWO parties. It's like floodgates have opened in my mind, or something. I really don't want to stop, in case this is it and I never get this again.

::koff:: Of course, it means I've had to take a personal day off work to write my assignment for uni due this week. Er, I'll start doing that, then.

Anyhow, my first fic is finally posted.

Five Ways Jim Gordon Found Out Bruce Wayne is Batman, and One Way Everyone Did

It's perfectly innocent gen fic and the plot is pretty much what the title says.

Lookit all the comments! Whee!

(I'll wait to read it / the new parts until you've shown me TDK.)

Hee! Nearly half of those are me saying thank you, you know. I'm going away from the seductive internets to write and then coming back periodically and being gleeful *g*

Er, you know how you always wanted me to write a 10,000 word fic? ::koff:: I've just gone over that and they haven't even discovered who the Villain is OR got together. (I keep trying to resist The Gay, but it keeps creeping in when I'm not watching)

You really need to get into this fandom. *g*

Can't wait to see how long it ends up!

It's interesting that writing has suddenly hit you like this. Maybe it's partly because you're studying? I sometimes find that the busier I am (or am supposed to be) the more active I get in other areas of my life and the more productive I am all round. Or maybe it's just because you're really into a fandom and the kind of stories you want to read aren't out there in quantity. Anyway, enjoy!!

Oh absolutely. I've always thought that saying 'if you want something done, ask a busy person' is so true!

It may also be partly that usually my only reason for writing fic is to get the characters together, whereas in this fandom my interest is primarily in Jim Gordon, and secondarily in the Batman/Gordon FRIENDSHIP (though I am being corrupted *g*). So the alternative to writing plot base fics is having them have coffee together or something!!!

Now I want to read a story where they go have coffee!

Looking forward to seeing TDK (under careful supervision) so I can learn what you like so much about Gordon.

So you're encouraging recidivism in my fic writing habits?

When can you come over and watch TDK? *looks eager*

When the EAJs are done. Maybe 2 weeks?

I may need a Batman Begins refresher, too.

*sighs* If I have to.

No, that would be best, then you get maximum Gordon scenes.

What I was going to say was: hey lookit the difference between posting in a fandom with a thousand people, as opposed to, say, 60. *g*

Well, I'm glad you're getting the fun of getting all those comments! And it's clear that people do think it's very well written!

I know, I'm so relieved! Especially considering the sudden leap off a cliff from writing short 'dialogue and porn' fics. And who knew I could write angst? Not me! And yet most people's favourites are the death ones.

(How much do I love you for being happy to talk about my writing)

Oh WOW, awesome set of stories, Sarren!! I love 'five times' stories - they are like lovely little morsels of fan fic goodness, like M & Ms...except your offerings were rich, intense, exquisite truffles that I took my time over to savour and enjoy.

Number 5 was my fave - creepy dolls, sabre tooth tigers, Gordon being swept off his feet, playful dialogue. Made me happy!

I have to comment on the icon you used too - HEE! Dark Knight cat watches over Gotham!

Glad you are writing again! *smooches*

*hugs the lovely compliments*

Thank you!

The sabre-tooth one is by far and away my favourite, for all of those reasons you mentioned Actually story where I thought up a Plot! And humour! However, everyone else who expressed a preference liked the death ones best, except two people who liked the cut lip one.

Isn’t Dark Knight cat awesome, I assume you saw the LOLcat?

Thanks for commenting, sweetheart.
