I think it's clear where my bias lies..
May. 23rd, 2008 07:51 amBECAUSE THE TIME IS UPON US.
Valentino's
- Comfy
- Wide range of food
- Easy parking for people who don't care about the environment
- Northbridge quiet on a Sunday
- Toilets handy (hey, this important to ME if we're sitting around for several hours drinkingalcohol coffee).
- Licensed
- BAD COFFEE (but other coffee places within walking distance)
That good coffee place in Forrest Chase - Bocelli's
- Excellent coffee
- Limited food range
- Right next to train station for tree-huggers
- Expensive to park
- City busy on Sunday
- Have to wander off to Myers for toilets
- Only supposed to be 18° with 'showers clearing', not very protected

Date: 2008-05-23 01:33 am (UTC)Again with the bias, but if I'm going to be there 11-4 or whatever, I'm going to want a decent lunch and comfy warm seating. Having said that, if more people vote for Bocelli's I can always wander off to the food hall and get something substantial.

The other place we could consider next time is Rifo's in Vic Park - it's right in front of a bus stop, or Maylands, that may be near the train... but they had great coffee (in Vic Park) and have great looking food too (though they were quite busy on Sunday).

Thanks for the info!
I also like the idea of e`cuchina on the corner of hay and william (next to central park) in the city - it looks lovely and i've had decent coffee from there with cricketk before, also they're a restaurant which suggests a) toilets close at hand and b) range of food. Not sure of pricing though. Also this is a thought for the future and not for Sunday.

Date: 2008-05-23 05:51 am (UTC)Just pick Valentinos. Also, Northbridge is *not* quiet on Sundays. You're crazy. It's always busy on Sunday.

Date: 2008-05-23 09:29 am (UTC)Slight preference for Valentinos - May still show up with takeout coffee from elsewhere (or just have coffee before leaving home and milkshakes at the cafe).

Date: 2008-05-23 04:01 pm (UTC)Every time we go for Dim Sum on Sundays, it's always packed. No free parking after 10 am. I guess it's busy with Sunday shopping and lunch.
