I used to be with Wantree, back when, and then I didn't have access to the internet for a while. A dark, dark period in my life I try to repress. By the time I finally saw the light Wantree had been subsumed by iinet and since that seemed like a good place to be, up I joined.

And got spammed like mad. Mentioned it iinet who shrugged their shoulders. Put up with it. Gave occasional thought to proactiveness whenever mr_booboo extolled Mailwasher.

I should mention at this point that I still get occasional personal emails via my Wantree addy. A couple from friends I hadn't been in contact with in more years, and even a few feedbacks from fics I wrote several years ago. I don't even know where on the net any are now, sites come and go.

Anyhoo, I finally decide that Wantree addy must go. Because even though Yahell claim I have no lists on there in any accounts I can remember, I can't get myself off rareslash.

See I was on individual mails for allslash and rareslash for years and years, but now that I'm more, lets say specifically focussed, between them and the spam it was all a bit heavy. So I ask the list moderators to take me off. allslash obliges, rareslash not.

So Monday night I get tech support to bu-bye wantree.

Spam gone.

Gone I say.
