Just Say No to Stupid Car Chases.

sarrenWatched 'The Day of the Jackal', cos Foxtel have been plugging it all week and I'm easily influenced, and also it just came on and there was this moment when we could have changed channels, and there was indecisiveness and then it was as if that had been the plan all along.
Pretty damn good film. No excess graphic violence, no blood and guts, no car chases, no music score to tell us what to feel and when. May look into 'classic' films....
So I was all excited when Bruce Willis snogged another man in 'The Jackal' (but killed him not all that long aftter) Gotta love the 90's, I thought, where we can watch on our blockbuster screens the anti-hero kiss a guy in order to manipulate and use the weak stereotypical queer....

...then remembers that she gets hot for Bruce Willis so obviously Bruce + man on man action = double the goodness
So, watching the original version tonight, a little surprised to see the jackal go to a 'Turkish Bath' in the middle of the night, fair enough, I reason, he obviously can't go to a hotel cos the cops are on the lookout. But then! Then he lets some guy pick him up!! And then it's the next day and they're at the guy's place!! And then he has to kill him But he also killed the chick he was involved in, so I'm not left feeling that the homo died cos really, he got was coming to him...
Makes a nice change.
