I like the Sawyer books. Rob never lets characterisation stand between him and a really pacy plot, some dodgy science and the end of the book.

Was it his first book? Because the POV is a bit dodgy to start with, but then it smoothed out (or I stopped noticing)

Nope, it was about his tenth book. I really liked his Far-Seer trilogy (Dinosaurs! With telecopes!), but some of his other stuff hasn't worked for me. It's worth knowing that he used to be a science journalist, before he started writing fiction, and that might be why he forgets to put characterisation in sometimes.

Quality alone time? Is that your nice way of saying you-know-what? Your answer will impact on my poll answers. (I'm not afraid to change them!)

Hello, please excuse me for barging in. I just saw that you have an absolutely great Life on Mars icon of Sam and Gene, and I wanted to know if you made it and if it's shareable. Thanks.

I'm fairly sure it's a shareable one from the [livejournal.com profile] lifein1973 community. I'm embarrassed to admit I don't really remember, I just had to check with my friends to make sure someone didn't make it for me...

It was months and months ago. I had a quick look myself but I'm currently shaped and the dl speed is killing me.
