Remember how I was like 'oh woe, Robbie Williams tickets sold out in under half an hour?'

Well, a week or two ago I happened hear on the radio that there was going to be a second show, tickets on sale 9am the next morning.

Me - Oh crap, I'll be at work. Dragonfly, feel like wasting half your morning trying to get through on the phone?
Dfly - *shrugs and nods*

I forgot all about it.

I've just walked into the kitchen and there are two Robbie Williams tickets stuck to the wall just above eye level.

I have NO idea how long they've been there.

Today, my cashier triggers the silent alarm, which I find out about when I get a 'courtesy' call from the cops. 'Hello, are you being robbed?'

I ring the alarm company, who tell me I need the key + alarm code to reset it. The key that I haven't laid eyes on in the 7+ months I've been at the store. I call my new area manager, who patiently points out there's not a lot he can do as he is currently Up North.

I ring nearest busy store (as most likely to have extra manager on who can drive a key over) Store explain they are too busy omg! I continue to search for key. Store ring back to say manager is on his way. I find key two minutes later.

So that was my bit of excitement for today.

My favourite part was where I rang the alarm company...

Woman - Hello, Control Room?
Me - This is Sarren from "company store". I believe my silent alarm is going off?
Woman - Can you prove who you are?
Me - What?
Woman - Do you have a password?
Me - I have never been issued a password in the entire time I've worked at this company.
Woman - Some form of identification?
Me - Hey, how about you call me back, so then you'll know you've reached the store.
Woman - What's your number there?
Me *pauses incredulously* Well, I could give you any old number then, couldn't I? Sort of defeats the purpose.

She never did call back.
