The house was quiet, I was *waiting*, flicking through lj's - deliberately NOT reading any fic I might possibly become absorbed in. I do remember hearing car doors shut around that time but i assumed that it was across the street as the dog did not react.
When CricketK rocked up the dog barked when she pulled in the drive and went totally ballistic when she knocked on the door.
Am really, really, really, sorry.
I thought you were too tired from your big adventure, and had decided it was all too late.
