- woke up in an excellent mood after a successful night pimping Persuaders! to [livejournal.com profile] emma_in_oz, [livejournal.com profile] blue_pax, [livejournal.com profile] ravenclaw_harpy and [livejournal.com profile] cricketk.

- was early enough to wave goodbye to [livejournal.com profile] zeba363 as she left for a day of doing arcane things to horses' feet in 37 degree heat.

- relaxing playtime with Bunny.

- remembered to put reflector thingies on the windshield at the shops so was able to immediately touch the steering wheel on returning to the car.

- remembered to take plenty of green bags for once, so was able to fit all my shopping, including 4 yr old's birthday prezzie and clothes.

- inadvertantly found myself in Rockmans where I got a pretty dress, a skirt and a pair of jeans for $48.35. (I'm a little concerned about the warning about not wearing the jeans on light coloured furniture but hey, my couch is blue so *shrug*)

- IGA was shut (?!) so was forced to go to Coles, only to discover S&W brand mayo, which is the only brand of mayo to use when making potato salad and I can never find it. (will now be making potato salad for the next gathering)

- managed to lose two games of scrabble to Grandma without trying very hard at all - only had to not put down seven letter words twice (I'm usually stupidly lucky with the high scoring letters, I've started trying to discreetly throw them back)

- played Star Wars monopoly with Bunny and Dragonfly - Bunny is finally old enough to play properly and also apparently to beat the pants off us.

- Am now having family movie night over a yummy steak and salad dinner and after Bunny goes to bed there will be much Torchwood watching.

Ahahaha, fandom has eaten my brain. I read your cut tag as "Today, the Ways have been made of win" and thought there'd be picspam or something behind the cut.

But yay for having a good real life day, too! ;)

Weirdly enough, young kids who are just old enough to play always seem to beat the pants off everyone in monopoly. I don't know why!

Yes I regularly get beaten by Monster as does his grandparents which annoys his grandfather no end. Monster loves Monopoly in what ever format and is always hounding me to play, it is either that or pictonary.

Doing happy dance now - I am back online and catching up on some backlog.
