Just for anyone who hasn't been paying attention, or is new here

*shows off shiny new friend [livejournal.com profile] tboy*

...my store is in a low socio-economic area and we generally get more than our share of scabby customers.

When the Red Cross box arrived from HO at about 6pm today I told my cashiers to just do what we did last time we had a charity box, ask the customers if they'd like to donate that 5c or 15c change.

Well, my cashiers were motivated. Three hours later and the box is heavy and my cashiers tell me with awe 'Some people are putting in notes." And apparently the people who did say no generally said 'I already gave at the bank'.

*feeling good about humanity right now*

Or television.

Also kangaroos hop down the main streets of our cities.

Okay, I tried to order some used Bruno and Boots books from Amazon UK, but some of them say Unbound, and I don't know what that means. I mean, I know what it sounds like it means, but I assume I wouldn't be getting just piles of loose paper, right?

I did try to ask the Amazon people but they told me work it out for myself, loser.

So do you know?

And sometimes we spell the name of our country less unusually.

*laughs at you just a little bit*

And points out that you can laugh at my 'Unbound' ignorance

I could only laugh at your Unbound Ignorance if I knew what the hell they were talking about, myself! Which i do not. Wtf? As for my spelling, well, what can I say, I type all day, sometimes it goes awry...

I'm going to go look at amazon myself, brb.

First of all, which one is it that you own? I'm assuming you have the first, This Can't Be Happening at McDonald Hall, but let me know if I'm wrong and I'll look for that one.

Okay, I found:

5 listings for used copies of Something Fishy At McDonald Hall (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/offer-listing/0590255223/ref=dp_primary-product-display_1//102-4292436-3455336?condition=all)
11 listings for Beware the Fish (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590326465/qid=1105626741/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
MacDonald Hall Goes Hollywood (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590439413/qid=1105626948/sr=1-24/ref=sr_1_24/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
Go Jump in the Pool! (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590442090/qid=1105626948/sr=1-28/ref=sr_1_28/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
The War With Mr. Wizzle (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590423630/qid=1105626948/sr=1-29/ref=sr_1_29/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)

But I'm not finding a whole lot else, rats. I guess I advise you to look at amazon US, since the books are Canadian.
I also very highly recommend some of Korman's other early books- he's writing pretty plain YA now-
Son of Interflux
A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590406957/qid=1105626948/sr=1-26/ref=sr_1_26/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
Don't Care High
I Want to Go Home (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590330462/qid=1105626883/sr=1-20/ref=sr_1_20/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
No Coins, Please (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590334662/qid=1105626883/sr=1-15/ref=sr_1_15/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
Losing Joe's Place (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0590427695/qid=1105626948/sr=1-22/ref=sr_1_22/102-4292436-3455336?v=glance&s=books)
Who Is Bugs Potter?

I hope that's helpful!
