I've already set a personal record for the amount of posts in one month. Why stop now?

You know how every now and then someone on your flist freaks out and explains that it's nothing personal but they have to defriend some people because their flist is too big, or their interests have changed? And then if you're me you have to check to see if you made the cut.

This is me freaking out. After not paying any attention for so long I've suddenly realised that there are a few people who never post and never comment and it makes me feel either they've lost interest in lj totally, filtered me off so as to not hurt my feelings, or else they're just kind of watching, which, today, is making feel all kinds of creeped out. Because I'm having that day. So nothing personal, but yeah. And then I friended some people who I've been getting to know through comments :) Can I make some kind of universe balancing itself out reference here?

Yeah, I'm pretty much guilty of having lost interest in LJ (mainly thanks to their totalitarian attitude to excising communities), and really only pop over here to keep apprised of what people are up to (especially those not yet on twitter, facebook, myspace, etc).

I have moments of LJ comment paranoia. Like...why hasn't X commented? OMG THEY MUSTN'T LIKE ME ANY MORE.

Then I have to remind myself that not everyone's life revolves around LJ. Even if mine does. (Thank you for making me get an LJ in the first place, btw! *hugs* )

(although, on rereading, I see you said 'never post, never comment' - these are the ones that I don't friend, and ignore. 'cos, you know, it's about the community, and I'm not in it to have people watch, so I get where you are coming from on the freaky...)

I can't be bothered with filters, so my friends list probably won't get much bigger. I just have to remember to go and check out the LJs of my favourite writers now and again.
