I’m confused about a couple of things. I assume this is because the only bits I remember from the last book were the scenes with Snape or Draco in.

1. Where did the second Hallow surface? Was it the Horcrux from the island? Why did Riddle choose that as a Horcrux?

2. Ron says ‘that’s the second time we’ve saved you, you two-faced git’ Why two-faced? I thought Draco was pretty consistent.

3. Seriously, what is up with JKR and the Slytherins? I really want to know.

He was playing both sides against the middle when he hedged about naming them to Fenrir.

By 'appropriate' in the second question what I actually mean is 'predictable'

I feel like the epilogue was written right after the first chapter, or perhaps before it.

I didn't read that scene like that at all. Draco had shown fear and distaste and horror all along at the position he was forced into. I read it that he was just trying to avoid being responsible for more people being tortured and killed (even Potter!) but then when the Death Eaters thought they recognised Hermione and Ron, there wasn't any point anymore - he was just trying to survive himself.

Interesting. We had completely different takes. I felt that Draco was always looking for info to let him survive no matter who was in power.
