Random observations on H5O circa mid s4

sarrenOn the weekend mornings I don’t have to be anywhere else Jody and I watch H50 or NCIS, shows I’m not invested in, but am happy enough to half watch while playing on the computer.
A woman just fell down a floor onto her upturned stiletto (which was slightly angled).
Me - Seriously, we’re supposed to believe that it was attached so strongly it wouldn’t break off from the force of impact? These things break when you look at them wrong…
Jody - IT’S ONY A TV SHOW. SUSPEND DISBELIEF OMG.
…which is usually my line when other people complain. Ha, the other day we all watched the pilot of The 100, and we didn’t even get through the introductory exposition before Jody and I were ripping apart the entire premise. Dragonfly was like ‘Shut up or leave omg!’ I made it to the end of the ep, barely. Dfly kept watching and reckons it got better. I’ll take her word for it.
H50 just had an actual scene where Danny pulls an unconscious woman out of a car and called it in...
Danny – I have an unconscious woman. She’s not breathing, I need an ambulance.
Me – START CPR.
Voice on phone = What is the cause?
Danny – I don’t know *feels around* Wait, gunshot to the back of the head. Put a rush on that ambulance!!!
Danny *starts compressions*
What I took from that, firstly, check for gunshots to back of head before CPR, fair enough, and more importantly, the ambulance gets to go faster if it’s a gunshot as opposed to someone who’s just not breathing for unknown causes.
Also, I really like that Steve has a great girlfriend who kicks ass and has a regular role and I will NOT forgive this show if they fridge her. They already had Danny break up with his lovely gf because she took a six month job on the mainland to advance her career. Because it wasn’t good for his kid to have separation or something. Six months. What, they couldn’t have skyped?? I suppose I should be grateful they didn’t fridge her like they did Chin’s wife.
OOH Danny and Steve are trapped in confined space together and Danny is injured, yay H/C bonding!!!
Aw, Danny and Steve just declared their love for each other, no, but it was cute, Danny said something sarky and Steve said earnestly, ‘I love you too pal.’
Oooh, and then they got pulled to safety…
Danny – what you said down there, I feel the same way too.
Steve – What was that?
Danny pulls Steve into hug.
Danny (into Steve’s neck) - I love you too.
Steve (into Danny’s neck) – I love you, man.
I am happy that Chi McBride has joined the cast. I enjoyed him in Pushing Daisies and Human Target, but he won my heart as Barry in Let’s Go to Prison (I could only find this clip, which doesn’t look good, but in fact he’s really gentle and the characters fall in love, escape from prison and live happily ever after. Oh, yay, awesome end credits as they drive off to their new life together.
