sarrenKind of a constant theme on my blog, I guess. Probably shouuld really get on them, considering one of them is a media presentation - I have to learn super basic vidding! Windows Movie Maker's the one n00bs use, right?
I can always tell when I'm about to hit the line in the sand where I have to stop procrastinating to get assignments done on time, becuase I invariably have most of the plot for a fic (that I don't have time to write) just unfold in my head. Lewis/Hathaway sex pollen fic, anyone?
Three days later
HA, this was one of the many random half-finished posts destined to linger forever under privacy lock, except I am waiting for a movie file to convert to .avi
BECAUSE... I have two files to use in my media presentation, one video file, and one audio (because of course the case study I really want to do, the camera person's battery ran out half way through the presenter's talk, so I'm having to use another student's random recording off their phone). So, I uploaded what I thought was the audio file and spent a couple of hours carefully splitting the bits I want to use, next, went to upload the video file to find, no, I'd been already been working with the video file...with no picture. Googling tells me that fricken Movie Player doesn't like mpg because it is a special snowflake.
DAMMIT.
So I pretty much watched S1 for Diggle and Oliver's sweaty shirtless workout sessions* and because Diggle is cool and doesn't put up with Oliver's bullshit, and later for the sassy computer geek Felicity and I OT3'd the hell out of them even though Oliver continued to be a douche, but S2 and Oliver's finally opening up to them about his Manpain and apologised to Diggle for not Being There For Him when Diggle needed him and also Black Canary has showed up, and Colton Haynes (who I crushed on in Teen Wolf) and the icing on the cake, the detective (the dude from Dresden Files) who'd sworn he'd bring the vigilante to justice has now become the Jim Gordon to Oliver's Batman, a dynamic that is CATNIP to me.
*Though sadly never shirtless at the same time, maybe the director thought there was a limit to how homoerotic the scenes should be. The training scenes in this vid were all S1, S2 has upped the ante with Oliver and Diggle wrestling. I approve.
