Procrastinating about writing my uni report by posting to LJ. Which is a step forward because for weeks I've been procrastinating about writing my assignment by thinking about posting to LJ and then procrastinating about posting to LJ by going on tumblr etc.

And watching all the telly in the world. Those nine days I where I couldn't do much but lie on the couch with my bad eye covered I watched more telly than in the entire year previously. (disclaimer: was in Germany for five of those months), I've (mostly) caught up on shows I was behind on and now I have all these new shows.

Yep, there's a lot of good TV right now, kind of an embarrassment of riches, really. I just hope the new shows last. *crosses fingers*

I know you don't need more, and I can't remember if you already mentioned it at some point, or if I suggested it to you, but if you haven't seen Sinbad, I highly recommend it. The bad news: already cancelled; the good news: closed canon. :-/

okay, I'm getting season one, I assume that's all there was. Suitable for Bunny?

Yes, sadly, that's all there was. I think it's okay for Bunny. There are some scary magical things, but I don't think it was worse than, say, Merlin, and it's not full of sex or gratuitous violence, either. And the diverse cast alone is worth showing her, I think, since there's so little of that in the media.

Sounds great! Will definitely prioritise. Warehouse 13 and Eureka were great for diversity too, I keep harping on about them but they are just fantastic for budding teenage SF fans and grown ups too :)

Do you mind me asking if Sinbad ends on a cliffhanger or anything irritating like that? I was thinking of getting my 10 year old niece the boxset for Christmas.

No, nothing I found irritating, except that it was cancelled after only 12 eps.

As I said to sarren, there are a couple of sexual situations -- like, you know they've had sex, even though it's not shown -- but, FWIW, I don't think it's too "adult" or intense for a 10-year-old.
