Help! Crafty people!

So, we have rainjackets at work that we need to attach Velcro patches to (so that we can attach name badges to them) Screenprinters and embroiderers that I’ve contacted won’t touch them (wusses!) and suggest doing it ourselves with a “suitable glue”.

What would be a suitable glue? I don’t really want to ruin my team’s official uniform raincoats.

Depends on the type of fabric, but I don't know a lot more than that. A lot of glues that are supposed to be used for fabric don't appear to be waterproof, from what I remember from when I was trying to find something for sticking felt together.
