Would Captain Jack Harkness have been allowed to fly, considering the mission was just hours away, to be arrested on his return? Or would he have been grounded and thrown in the brig straight away?

Of course, WE know that Jack made the TARDIS pick him up out of his burning plane, don't we?

I AM BURSTING WITH JOY.

even though I'm going to work now.

Arrested? *puzzled* What for? For snogging Jack?

Ooh lovely thought! But I think Jack wouldn't want to cause all those pesky problems that apparently occur when you Change The Past.

(I'll run that past Mr Tweed out of interest though!)

Oh my God, when it became clear that the TARDIS was on it's way I was screaming and bouncing around like a screamy, bouncy thing!

He would NOT have been allowed to fly, way too public a place for what occured for them to sweep it under the proverbial rug. Jack might be a little preoccupied with the Doctor... (ohh I am going to have to watch the episode all over again !!)

From what I've read though, things were fairly relaxed during WW2 - for both civvies and service people. The general mood was fairly 'anything goes' because people were extremely aware that loved ones could be lost at any moment.

I spent an awful lot of time during those two episodes bouncing up and down and making dolphin noises, and my fingers had bite marks that didn't fade for ages.

*looks vaguely embarrassed*

You made dolphin noises? You are so CUTE!!

It took ages for my heartrate to go down afterwards! I took advantage of the energy levels though and did a late night grocery shop LOL!
