House sitting.

The shy cat has ventured by several times today to say hello and hang out for a while just out of petting distance.

The ginger one lets me know, loudly, when he wants to be fed, or let outside (at length, as I am not allowed to let him out yet because of his wound) and otherwise comes for cuddles of an evening.

These two have made me realise how high maintenance our own cats are. Nobody drapes themself over my arms so I can't type, or meows piteously every time I go to the kitchen or the laundry. Seriously, I'm even getting uninterrupted nights' sleep where I get to wake up at my own leisure. Though I'm sure I half woke once last night to the giant (amazingly heavy) ginger lying snuggled into my neck, lightly kneading with claws. Also, I went to sleep with the electric blanket on the lowest setting, simply because I don't have that luxury in my Real Life, and it was turned off when I got up. I don't have any memory of doing that...

Did not get much study done. However I did make stuffed mushrooms for dinner. \o/ After improvising all but the mushrooms and bacon, as the house owner - in defiance of everything I thought I knew about her - inexplicably failed to have feta in her fridge (or the right herbs).

I am so pleased to read that you managed to get some quality sleep.

Yay you for making stuffed mushrooms!

They were kinda weird, but nice, and of course, they had bacon in them. Bacon makes everything better. *g*

Electric blanket?! ... In the warmth that is Perth?! ... And when it's not even winter?!

I know Perth is warm, relatively. That is why I don't own an electric blanket.

However, I live here. My blood is thinner than yours. I was chilly, I had the blanket on. (and then apparently turned it off at some point, as Perth is, of course, not particularly cold).
