special_trille and mr_booboo dropped by the store in the evening with cake and made it better :)
And then I went home and Torchwood made life good again. *g*
I continue to obsess about Gwen/Owen, despite my conflicted feelings towards Owen, and the part where I don't generally DO het. And it's not just Owen, I'm shipping Jack and Gwen too, I think it's just that they are all so damn sexy and putting it out there. Except Toshiko, for some reason. I'd like a Toshiko episode next, and if she could snog someone, that would be great, thanx.
I love this episode so much. The storyline was great, and the ending ROCKED. I love that he made the hard decision and I love how emotional he was. John Barrowman is my hero. Like in the previous episode when he's shouting at Ianto and his voice rises to a girly scream for a moment *hearts* And how cheesy he is when he's delivering the serious exposition. *g* Yay Captain Jack!
I can't wait to find out what Jack's story really is. Apparently he was born in the 51st century, was a conman with a timeship hanging out in WW2 flirting with with that English officer. Then he met The Doctor and Rose, and what? got made immortal by the TARDIS, then found his way back to Earth at some point in history and got stuck there and became a responsible military type who gets involved in British wars as he waits for time to pass, and that's when he fell in love with that 17 year old girl and then eventually got to now, and Torchwood?
Or MAYBE he was actually born in 19th century or whatever and was made immortal some other way, and was originally a product of his time which would explain why he kept getting involved in wars, and why he was more likely to fall in love with a 17 YR OLD GIRL. Then he lived long enough for the timeship to be invented and for his values to evolve, maybe went back to WW2 (to look for the girl?) flirted with the English guy, met the Dr and Rose, got stuck on the space station and then found his way back to present day Torchwood?
I maybe should go read some more SGA crack instead.

I wonder if they will reveal Jack's full backstory over time?
I'm also enjoying the het, but I would really love some hot Jack mansex sometime soon. Or even some snogging, because John Barrowman really does seem like one of the all time great kissers.

I find Tosh really sexy and hope she gets to snog someone soon. It's Owen I don't find sexy at all but he's interesting on other levels. (I don't usually care about other levels so much, but with Owen I'll take what I can get.)
