I think this week's episode of Dr Who, "Midnight", is actually scarier than "Blink".

I was going to link to a synopsis, but I honestly think the less you know beforehand the more intense the experience will be.

I guess I have to watch that in a crowd of people at noon with the sound of, then. Blink was way too horrifying already.

Good plan! Except for the sound off part - it would be pointless without the sound.

I didn't find it scary at all. It was very "Lord of the Flies" to me. I find Blink a lot more scary because we have statues everywhere and that freaks me out, whereas it's very unlikely I'll be going on a space trip.

Being trapped by something unknown and impossible with no way out - that's pretty damn scary.

And of course, finding out what people are capable of - psychologically draining.

Depends what your buttons are - the Blink monsters are just monsters. We don't really believe they exist.

No, but I have seen the bad side of human nature both in RL and in the news and as much as it is distressing, it is not an unknown. Where as statues, something innocent and unexpected suddenly turning on you, that scares me. Not just statues. I guess it is the unknown. It can be something or someone you think will not hurt you suddenly turning bad. For me, Blink was scary the way Empty Child was scary. I found them pretty similar in approach.
