I saw 'Threesome' at the movies and remember feeling disappointed, but not surprised at the tameness of the sex scene - woo hoo! one guy put his hand other other guy's ass, and the other guy put his arm around him - girl safely ensconced between them.
And then their previous awesome friendship ends, and they drift apart. And it is all VERY STUPID.
Then a got given the dvd - AND IT HAS AN ALTERNATE ENDING. For a long time I looked at this dvd on my shelf and thought 'they could get back together and live happily ever after, or at least have lots of hot, raunchy sex!'
So I watched it, finally. And I was genuinely surprised to discover that they actually made the alternate ending even more pointless, with bonus points for confusingness.
I was reading the Wikipedia entry (so it must be true)...
In print interviews, the actor Baldwin mentioned that some scenes that would suggested that his character was gay or bisexual such as a kissing scene during the big "three-way", with Eddy and a one-on-one sex scene that occurred after Alex (he girl) moves out were deleted. These deleted scenes were not included in the DVD release of the film.

Have you seen Splendor (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0127296/)?
It's much darker than Threesome, but it also features a woman and two men, and the men do have a moment or two -- more than the Threesome boys get to have.
Also? The girl in the movie? Apparently turned gay director Gregg Araki bisexual all by herself. ;)
