incoherent rambling

How much do I love War of the Worlds?
...anyone who badmouths itbefore the high wears off to my face gets bitchslapped.
Actually, not really. I just love the word 'bitchslap' and really don't have enough opportunities to use it.
However, War of the Worlds unbelievably good.
The last 60 seconds of the film let it down badly, but in a 'it's Hollywood, what'd ya expect?' type of way, so disappointing but not unexpected.
And here's something I never thought I would say... Tom Cruise was brilliant.
Go see it. Really.
Edited to add
I originally typed in that the film was 'nearly perfect' but then I imagined the scorn that would be heaped on me and was afraid. But now I have Jody at my shoulder doing the 'this close' gesture with her thumb and forefinger and now that I have back up *is brave*
War of the Worlds is *nearly* perfect.
*holds head high*
*runs away and hides*
