I'm afraid that 'wuss' is definitely out - it's a mid 20th century variation on pussy. Sissy is from the late 19th century. Depending on context, there are a few words that I can think of. Weakling might work, or prim or prudish. Sensitive, maybe? Chicken would work as well. All of those were in use at the time, most dating back to the 1500s or earlier.
We use it here, too, but it doesn't have any good direct synonyms so I went with a handful of things that hit on bits and pieces of the meaning. Sorry.
The thing, though, is that unless something is really, really good, I tend to not get into it unless I have someone to watch with. I suspect that after I move, y'all will be able to get me into any fandom you like, just by saying 'ooh, let's watch this together!' I will probably even make snacks. Just -- by myself, no fun.

Date: 2005-06-22 03:50 pm (UTC)Suddenly, the idea that not everyone has the exact same fandoms that I do drives itself home, and I feel like a moron.
I will be over here, avoiding new fandoms.
