I think I'm not totally boring because I'm into the wine.

Just been to an appointment with my maxillofacial surgeon. I am now drinking wine. I am apparently ineligible for the local or the twilight drugs due to them having to cut into my jaw. Unconsciousness for me!

Surgeon - Any previous hospital procedures?
Me - No
Surgeon - Any allergies to drugs like penicillin?
Me - No
Surgeon - Any other allergies?
Me - No
Surgeon - Do you take any medication?
Me - No
Surgeon - Smoke at all?
Me - No.
Surgeon - Well, you're boring.
Me *boggles*
Surgeon - Some ladies have, like, pharmaceutical lists. Ha ha ha.
Me *looks for means of escape*

Now I am going to drink more wine.

Did you know - to become a maxillofacial surgeon, you have to become a dentist (5 years uni, probably some years of working too), then go back to uni and do a medical degree (6 years) then internship and Basic Surgical Training (18 months) then surgical training (4 - 5 years) then maxillo-facial surgical training!

That's like, forever!

*boggles* That's like, 20 years before you even start the maxillofacial training!!! How long does THAT take?

Hello *waves*

Because you do seem pretty interesting, do you mind if I friend you?

*laughs* You may regret that. I have been known to spam. At least you like obscure fandoms, yays!!!

You're in Perth aren't you? Feel free to consider yourself invited whenever I mention doing stuff. Or not. Whatever your comfort level.

Thanks :)

After reading your profile, I noticed we had a few fandoms in common. Also, I had apparently forgotten to add Blakes 7 to my list. It's been a while but still, shouldn't forget them.

I did actually get your name from a discussion of Perth people in the Yuletide community (providing much love for the rare fandoms). Unfortunately, the mods deleted all the comments responding to the post before I got to read it, so I've only just been able to work out who is around in Perth.

There's about 15-20 of us that meet on the last Sunday of every month, if you are ever interested in meeting people (numbers vary, people come and go as they want)

I once did a livejournal interests search on perth + slash and there were nearly 50 people I'd never heard of!

Perth clearly breeds slashers *g*

No pressure, though, there are a few people from Perth on my friendslist I've never met.

Sounds interesting, though if it's a Sunday I'll need to swap work shifts with someone.

Perth clearly breeds slashers

I always suspected...

We have a yahoo group called slashgropers where we normally arrange stuff like that, if you want to join.

I used to have to swap shifts around, never so happy as when I moved into a regular job.

Forgive my poor memory - why are you having surgery? *frets*

Just my wisdom teeth. Don't fret. I'm just a being a big baby.
