So I've just been watching songvids from 'Escapade 2004' Omg. There's Fight Club, La Confidential, Gladiator and Master and Commander. I loves me the movie slash!

And a Smallville one set to Placebo that rips my heart out. It even makes me want to actually start watching the show again.

And I have a new fandom! I just wish I knew what it was. The songvid is by Gwyneth (one of the Media Cannibals) and is fabulous. It's an NYPD guy transplanted to England, and partnered with a guy who's a bit posh (I recognise the actor, he was the bad guy's sidekick in Tomb Raider) There's an amusing pit bull and lots of scenes of the American cop being tied up, blindfolded; there's graffiti on buses that says 'Yank Cop Go Home' and scenes with the English cop asleep and snuggling all over him, and looking jealous when a girl smiles at him. Oh, and that drop dead gorgeous black guy who plays M's right hand man. in the last couple of Bond films is in it and seems to spend a lot of time smiling at the American. I think I saw Alexei Sayle, too.

Could it be Spooks/MI-5 (http://www.tvtome.com/Spooks/)?

I hear this show is excellent. Go rent the DVDs.

We had Spooks here. We're usually fine with British shows, it's American ones like, oh, Smallville, Enterprise, Firefly etc that we don't get til years later if at all

If you get the opportunity to watch Spooks I recommend it highly. It's stylish and clever and gripping.

No funny pitbulls or cops throwing fruit at Alexei Sayle and missing and hitting little old ladies though...

Okay, first, what the hell is your icon from?

Second, what info did you type in to find the movie?

Has anyone seen it? Is it a GOOD movie? Why haven't I heard of it, then?

Icon is Sebastian and the Prime Minister from Little Britain. (Sebastian is the PM's aide, and he has a ginormous crush on the PM.)

I found Keen Eddie by taking a punt by clicking on one of the actors listed when I looked up Tomb Raider. (I was curious.)

I hadn't heard of Keen Eddie before, but I also checked on ebay and there's a few complete DVD sets for sale.

Enabler? moi?

Obviously I should be watching Little Britain! *kicks self*

I'm just going to wait and see if Keen Eddie turns up on UKTV. Gwyneth, who made the songvid tells me that when it was shown on tv it had a really funky soundtrack, but for the dvds they replaced it with generic music, like they did with Tour of Duty *wtf*

I would have picked the same name to take a punt on, (if I'd thought of it), cos of the double barrelled name, and the actor being posh and all.

I know, I googled gwyneth + songvids. Go me with the computer savvy!

I notice she has an Mag 7 songvid too, I can't wait. That's a fandom we haven't made you watch enough episodes of yet. And it's got horses in it!! A lot!

Please, you know what it's like when I try to be coherent. Frankly you should have taken that into account while deciding whether or not to give credence to my splutterings about shows.

You're annoyed at me when I don't tell you about things. You're annoyed at me when I do and you just don't listen. *throws hands in the air in exasperation*

Sorry, I don't have any episodes. I only managed to catch about half a dozen myself. Very sad, no? Also, it never occurs to me to tape tv anymore. I figure eventually you'll notice the show and then buy DVDs and I can just come round and watch them with you that there'll be DVDs soon enough.

Well, I can't find any more.

This is a cute post, though - it's from the time before you knew what Keen Eddie was! And you say in the comments that you should make me watch Mag 7! And Trille complains that "You're annoyed at me when I don't tell you about things. You're annoyed at me when I do and you just don't listen." *throws hands in the air in exasperation*

HEE!!

I remember that. I acquired the box set of KE sight unseen, if I remember correctly, based on the songvid and Trille liking it.

Keen Eddie FTW!!!!!
