Aug. 30th, 2007 06:58 amLast night I mentioned the US and nuclear power.
Shortly after, a violent storm hit, necessitating immediate departure from the internets.
This morning a STRANGER WHO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN LJ has left a comment suggesting I read his book on the nuclear industry.
I'll just be over in the corner with my tinfoil hat and my conspiracy theories.

In other news by the way, did you hear about what happened in the US? It seems one of their nuclear plants was told by the corp of engineers (that do these sorts of things on a federal basis in the US) that the nuclear plant wasn't up to spec and needed to be fixed or it would collapse (etc etc). The nuclear plant decided that the plant didn't need to be fixed and ignored the engineers' findings. The nuclear plant collapsed (yesterday or in the past week or so I think) - which means that several tons of irradiated water has flooded into the river.
I totally agree with you, it's not so much nuclear power as nuclear power plants in the hands of big business and, evidently, imbiciles. [headdesk]
