Because I know nothing about eBay, shipping or, in fact, graphic novels.

Bunny's never enjoyed reading, though she has always loved being read to. She's officially had reading glasses since she was about 7, but has always refused to wear them. She does like comics though and her new fave show is Buffy so I figured Buffy graphic novels might get her interested in reading? Worth a try.
Of course, they're super expensive, plus I prefer to buy secondhand for environmental reasons, so I was looking at this this batch

36 issues for $36 plus $40 postage from the US. That's still a good deal, right? Too good?

That's not a bad deal at all. Not what I'd consider too good or scammy, because they've got to be pretty heavy, and it's for int'l priority mail with tracking, not the cheapest slow boat method that takes 3 months to get there. The seller has zero negative feedback for 10 years, which is a good sign, too.

Before you commit, you might want to check and see what's on ebay.com.au first. Someone may be dumping their collection closer to home, or maybe you could pick up a handful for less money, just to see if Bunny likes and reads them.

BtVS graphic novels, at least the ones I've read, are excellent! I think Bunny could well like them. (As far as I know, as well as the comics published during/parallel to aired episodes, the show continued in comic format after the end of the TV run - but I've never got around to checking into that.) I had a look at the seller's reputation and the shipping etc and, same as klia, I think it looks like a good deal. There's ebay protection on that listing so in the unlikely event the seller rips you off, you'll get your money back, as long as you report any hassle within the time limit (usually 45 days).

Looks like a good deal, but the issues themselves look to be a really patchy mess - you could spend a lot filling in gaps.

Well, I was looking at listings that were lots of 5-6 comics, but hey, go for it. :)
