35% of Australia's population now live along the coast.

That's a high percentage. I didn't realise it was that high in Perth. What's going to happen to all these people in these houses when the sea rises over the next 50 years? There's been a report issued in Victoria in the last year that basically effectively bans further development in areas of Victoria at a certain sea level. Think maybe this needs to happen in WA? Doubt it will - it'll impede growth, which no government wants to happen.

We've done exactly that. We now live at 506m above sea level. And our next move will be to above 700m :D
