B – Boron …is boring. On the webpage there’s a piccie of a tin of boric acid powder which recommends it as an eye wash. Also used as ant poison.

Boron isn't boring (although I'll grant it does share a few letters with it). Using Boron you can make Boron Fibre, something a bit like Carbon fibre except that it has an even lower modulus of elasticity making it possible to make even more expensive, stiffer and lighter composites.

I never really leave a fandom, I just accumulate them.

For instance I was finally able to buy The Defiant Ones for $10, so when I have time to do, well, anything, I'll finally get to see it again. Yays!
