I am all about writers taking risks and doing epic things with the characters. I thought the finale was magnificent.

Having said that, I spent yesterday morning moping. angriest was totally unsympathetic and vaguely amused at me (just wait til Tennant leaves, is all I’m saying) and when I told cricketk I just about burst into tears.

However, last night I rewatched the eps and I have been able to achieve some closure.

I wonder what pretty young things they’ll get to replace them.



Edit Angriest has just given me chocolate.

OMG you bastards! How could you do that to X (and X)? Couldn't you have Xed X instead? The drawn out scene between X and X was trite but still made of awesome - must make icons.

I have no idea who they are going to employ to replace the heroic departed, but I'd love for Sally Sparrow to turn up again in the whoniverse.

I'm avoiding casting spoilers, but two names have come up in speculation in threads I have read.
